Who we areWe would like the MET Singers to be in our nation's capitol to perform at the adjudicated Inaugural Heritage Music Festival from January 16 - 20, 2009. Over the last several years, hundreds of children have had the opportunity to enjoy an outstanding arts curriculum through The MET Singers, a program of Choral Arts Link, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, that immerses children of all ethnicities and ages in music. MET has appeared numerous times at the Schermerhorn with the Nashville Symphony. During season 2007-2008, The John W. Work Memorial Foundation sponsored CAL and Stan Lassiter in a public concert for the Nashville community on the campus of Fisk University. In June, this talented ensemble also performed for the first Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund event at the Country Music Hall of Fame. We would like the MET Singers to perform at the Performing Arts Center and Harris Theater at George Mason University in Washington, D. C. before a panel of nationally renowned adjudicators and see and hear other student musicians from all around the country. As soon as we are assured that the expenses are met, we will ask our state legislators to involve the MET Singers as part of the entertainment at a Tennessee sponsored event. Due to economic constraints, the cost is $30,000 (one bus instead of two) and includes registration, accommodations, meals and transportation for Festival Track participants. Your support of this project is an invaluable asset. Singers will be part of living history with stories to share for a lifetime. How to DonateThe Donate buttons below will take you to a PayPal page (a secure site) that will guide you through the donation process.Amounts up to $2000 processed without a Pay Pal account Amounts from $2001 - $10,000, a Pay Pal account is required
